Driver still sought in deadly SR 408 hit and run

Orlando police officers continue to search for the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian nearly two weeks ago.

The deadly hit-and-run incident took place on State Road 408, causing a big traffic back up and prompted many to call 911.

"I think someone was hit by a car. It looks like someone was running across the street," one caller said.  "You think a person got hit by a car?" the 911 operator asks.  "I'm pretty sure a person got hit by a car," the caller explained.

Police say they found the older white Ford pickup which they believe struck the pedestrian. They're still trying to determine why he was walking on the highway in the first place.
