Winter Park man indicted on child sexual abuse material charges, according to FBI

ORLANDO, Fla. - A Winter Park man has been indicted on multiple counts of production of child sexual abuse material, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Winter Park Police Department.
What we know:
39-year-old David Andrew Ogden, of Winter Park, has been indicted on five counts of production of child sexual abuse material and one count of possession of child sexual abuse material, according to an announcement by United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg.
If convicted, Ogden faces a minimum of 15 years and up to 30 years in federal prison for each production count, and up to 20 years for the possession count.
Timeline:
The indictment alleges that between September 2022 and multiple occasions from June to September 2024, Ogden used or attempted to use a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce visual depictions of the acts. Additionally, in September 2024, Ogden is accused of possessing further child sexual abuse material.
An indictment is a formal charge, and Ogden is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Megan Testerman following an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Winter Park Police Department.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative launched in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
