Severe weather sweeps through Central Florida, potential for tornado's, NWS says
ORLANDO, Fla. - Severe thunderstorms moved through Central Florida on Sunday, prompting warnings throughout the late morning and afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
What we know:
At approximately 1:27 p.m., weather officials observed the potential for a tornado within a severe thunderstorm near Rockledge, impacting areas in Brevard County, western Orange County, and northeastern Osceola County. However, no tornado warnings were issued.

A second area of concern was identified off the coast of Cape Canaveral earlier in the afternoon. While radar indicated conditions favorable for tornado development offshore, no tornado warnings were issued as the risk remained over water.
The NWS continues to monitor the storms as they pass through the region. Severe weather is expected to diminish by 5-6 p.m., bringing calmer conditions to Central Florida by the evening.

Residents are advised to remain alert and follow updates from local authorities as weather conditions evolve.
