EAST PALESTINE, Ohio - San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested Sunday in Ohio on initial charges of engaging in prostitution - a charge that was later reduced, court records show.
Jed York arrested, pleads no contest
What we know:
During a court appearance Monday morning, a judge amended the primary misdemeanor charge to disorderly conduct, court records show.
York pleaded no contest to the amended charge, as well as an additional misdemeanor charge of possessing criminal tools. Records show that he paid $150 for the disorderly conduct charge and $1,000 for the criminal tools charge.
As part of the resolution, York was ordered to serve one day in Columbiana County Jail, which has already been fulfilled, and pay roughly $1,300 in court fines.
49ers: no comment
The San Francisco 49ers declined to comment, noting the situation was "a legal matter which has been resolved."
The NFL issued a statement saying the league was aware of the arrest and would review it under the personal conduct policy.
York's attorney did not return an email seeking comment.
The arrest took place in East Palestine, Ohio at a mobile home park.
York was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio.
