Orlando drug trafficking ring busted, more than 11 arrested
ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Police busted a drug trafficking ring in Orlando.
More than eleven people were arrested. Four of them are family members from Pine Hills. The Orlando Police Department call the family the ring leaders. Orange County deputies say the suspects sold heroin and fentanyl.
Members of the organization are said to face a variety of charges, including Trafficking in Heroin, Trafficking in Fentanyl, and Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Conspiracy and Firearms charges.
Orange County Sheriff Demings said during a press conference on Monday morning that "the drugs that are now off the street and the guns that are no longer in the hands of criminals make this area an even better place to live and work and raise our families."
Orlando Police Chief John Mina also spoke, saying that "make no doubt about it, drug trafficking organizations dismantled in this operation are killing our residents."

Since January, the Orange County Sheriff's Office has seized more than 4,900 grams of heroin and 2,300 grams of fentanyl.
