Orlando City Soccer Club unveils community soccer court in Parramore
A day of giving back for the Orlando City Soccer Club.
Team president and founder Phil Rawlins helped unveil the new Futsal court at the John H. Jackson Community Center on Monday.
"Soccer is all about the community," Rawlins said. "It's all about giving back to the community. It's been a big part of who Orlando City has been since day one, so we're just delighted to give something back to the community of Parramore."
The Futsal court is a smaller, concrete version of a soccer field and it's free for anyone to use.
"We'll also do free programming out of here… coaching, programs and games, so we'll make this a full-use facility for the community of Parramore," Rawlins said.
The 2015 MLS season kicks off at the Citrus Bowl to a sold-out crowd on Sunday at 5 p.m.
