Manhunt for murder suspect may come to a close after deputies find deceased body

The hunt for a double shooting suspect in St. Cloud may be over after a deceased body was found inside a Kissimmee home.

A SWAT team surrounded a home in Kissimmee as they narrowed in on their murder suspect. However, it all came to an end when they heard a gunshot. The suspect, 49-year-old Rafael Perdomo Primera, was found dead inside the home. Investigators believe he took his own life.

Primera shot his wife and another man, who detectives say was her boyfriend. The wife is seriously injured and the boyfriend, now identified as 48-year-old Robert Latopolski, is dead. Primera was on the run following this, launching a several day long manhunt for him.

Deputies say that the man found dead in the Kissimmee home has the same address that Primera had on his driver's license, but the body still needs to be identified with a medical examiner.

"There's a high probability that is going to be him. We just have to confirm with the medical examiner," said Sergeant Frankie De La Rosa, with the St. Cloud Police Department. "I'm hoping once we get positive ID, it can bring closure to the family and know that he's still not out there."
