Forest High Students to hold ‘Never Again' rally to end gun violence

Forest High School students on Wednesday gathered for a rally to end gun violence.

Many say that they do not feel safe after a former student shot a 17-year-old inside the school on Friday.

On Friday, a gunman entered the school and fired a single shot, striking a 17 year-old boy in the ankle before surrendering to police. 19 year-old former student Sky Bouche has since admitted to the crime and is currently in the Marion County Jail awaiting trial.

Co-founder of Never Again Ocala and Senior Caitlan Dickey got a permit approved by the City of Ocala to hold a Never Again rally on the downtown Square Wednesday afternoon. She originally planned to hold the rally on Friday, but given the shooting, it did not occur.

The rally was held at the Downtown Ocala Square.
