Family’s business trailer stolen from driveway, along with $30K in supplies
PALM BAY, Fla. - A family in Palm Bay is reeling after their business trailer, filled with more than $30,000 worth of handmade supplies, was stolen from their driveway Wednesday evening.
Surveillance footage shows a truck pulling up around 6:30 p.m., hitching to the trailer, and driving off. Dennis Detsch and his wife, Lacy Brayton, owners of "Not Quite Vegas," say the loss threatens their mobile casino business, which has served local events for 17 years.
Family's livelihood gone in seconds
What they're saying:
"I don’t know what we’re going to do because we don’t want to let any of these people down," said Brayton. "They supported us all these years, and we don’t want to let them down."
"Just give us our equipment back," added Detsch. "That’s all I care about. If the trailer is what they wanted, let them keep the trailer."
The trailer contained poker tables custom-made by Detsch and branded with "Property of Not Quite Vegas" on the bottom. The family is asking for help locating the trailer and the truck captured on video.
"Now I’ve got to start all over again," Detsch said. "You sit there and wonder, ‘Where do you start?’"
