Crews work to contain brush fire in Brevard County

Crews are working to contain a brush fire that has already burned 75 acres in Brevard County, according to the Florida Forest Service.

The blaze broke out off of I-95 and Port St. John where the fire continued to burn throughout Wednesday night and into Thursday morning.

As of last check, the brush fire, dubbed the 'Tiger Fire,' is about 95 percent contained and has burned more than 50-acres.

Traffic cameras show the flames well above the tree tops, burning up the night sky and black smoke filling the air.

Officials say the fire appeared to be coming from two separate areas and for awhile, rescue crews had difficulty even getting to the scene.

The ramp to I-95 from the Port St. John Parkway had to be shut down for quite awhile. That ramp is now back open and officials say no one was in danger last night.

This is a developing story. Check back for details.
