Main weather concerns: Shower and storm chances increase Sunday afternoon. Showers may start out in the west and move towards Central Florida in the afternoon. The east coast sea breeze will spark additional storms in the late afternoon. These showers will remain from Brevard County, and southward. A few of these storms c could be strong and produce frequent lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall.

A hot and steamy day for the parks on Monday. The temperature will reach 93 degrees but will really feel like 102. Make sure to stay hydrated waiting in the park lines. Showers and storms will be isolated in the early afternoon.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE BEACHES IN CENTRAL FLORIDA?
There will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday afternoon, likely after 2 p.m. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 90s. The surf will be around 2 ft and there will be a moderate risk for rip currents. If swimming, make sure to swim close to a lifeguard stand.

LOOKING AHEAD: On Monday, a front will be to our north and a southerly flow of wind will bring moisture to Central Florida. It will feel hot and humid every day this week with chances of rain 50%-60% every day. Temperatures will be in the mid 90s, though with the heat index, it will feel between 102-106 degrees.
