As black bear hunting season approaches in Florida, from Dec. 6 to 28, Bear Hunters is now offering hunters $1,000 for hunters to not participate in the hunt. Bear Hunters United, who recently lost a lawsuit when they wanted to prevent the first black bear hunt in 10 years, matched the $1,000, bringing the total to $2,000.

SeaWorld filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit in Orange County last month. In the motion, the company said Hillary Martin was hit by a snowy egret, a wild migratory bird, on the day she said she was injured by a duck on its Mako coaster. SeaWorld said it wants the lawsuit dismissed because it cannot be legally held responsible for "a wild animal’s actions."

According to the Seminole County sheriff's office, the two men were involved in some sort of traffic-related incident and argument near the entrance of the Mandarin Estates subdivision. Both drivers were armed. Following a shooting, one man died. Neither man has been publicly identified at this time.

The water main leak – which Johnson said he reported to the city months ago – has been saturating the ground of a local school for days. Sanford said they heard about the water main leak at Hamilton Elementary on November 26 and blocked it off that same day.
