Starlin Castro's two-run homer off Jake Odorizzi in the seventh inning was enough to give the Yankees a 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday. "We really weren't doing much," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "We get a huge hit from Starlin."

Rays swept by Mariners after 6-5 loss in 11 innings

Tampa Bay reliever Steve Geltz couldn't prevent the Rays from being swept in Seattle. Chris Iannetta jumped on a 3-2 pitch from Geltz for a leadoff homer in the bottom of the 11th inning to give the Mariners a 6-5 victory over the Rays on Wednesday and a sweep of the three-game series.

Rays fall to Dodgers 10-5

Tampa Bay's Matt Moore understandably was disappointed. The left-hander allowed seven runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 innings, one of his worst performances since returning from Tommy John surgery last season, in a 10-5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night.
