Dozens of students and parents of Flagler Palm Coast High School took to the streets Friday night, to call for change.

The kids walked across the Flagler Beach Bridge to show solidarity with the students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.  They hoped there actions would promote changes to school safety policies.

Many of the students said they will be voting in their first election this year, and they hope they can carry this message to the ballot box.

The city and local law enforcement did not take a position on the issues but did assist in maintaining a safe environment for the students as they crossed traffic. The event was not a sanctioned school event.
