Conditions are expected to improve beginning Sunday and into next week as wave heights and the rip current threat decrease.

Weekend outlook

Looking Ahead:

A stretch of dry weather is expected. The recent period of multiple days of rain, clouds and strong winds was uncommon for early April.

After Friday, conditions are forecast to remain dry, sunny and pleasant for the next week to week and a half. Temperatures are expected to climb back into the mid- to upper 80s by the middle to end of next week. No significant chances of rain are expected again until around April 23 to 25.

Rainfall totals varied widely, with some areas receiving much-needed precipitation, including 6 to 10 inches along the Space Coast and in Brevard County. Drought conditions are expected to persist in inland areas.

As winds increase again next week, there may be an elevated risk of brush fires.
