New food pantry opens at Bethune-Cookman University to help students, staff
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A new food pantry has opened its doors to students, faculty and staff of Bethune-Cookman University (BCU).
The university teamed up with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida to open Mother Mary's Market on Monday, with funding provided by Boeing and Pepsi.
The new space is not only stocked with nonperishable supplies, but also clothing closets to help students access what they need to prepare for a job interview.
