Markeith Loyd's attorney stepping down
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Markeith Loyd's lead defense attorney is stepping down from representing the accused cop-killer.
Attorney Roger Weeden says it's based on a technical requirement brought up by the judge. Loyd told the judge in the case that he still wants high-priced Miami attorney Terence Lenamon, who he asked for a year ago. Weeden says he thinks that choice will be approved by the judge.
Loyd is accused of killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend Sade Dixon and Orlando Police Lt. Debra Clayton.
