A mare-velous save: Animal rescue team helps horse trapped in Florida marsh, officials say
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. - The Seminole County Fire Department says a horse was saved from a marsh after wandering off and getting stuck Friday afternoon.
Firefighters state the incident too place around 12:38 p.m. off Feather Lane in Sanford.

Officials say the department's Large Animal Rescue Team utilized plywood underneath the horse to assist him out.
Reports show the horse was deadlifted to get the animal underneath the plywood to help with extrication.

Luckily, firefighters say Copper was in the marsh for only a little over an hour.
Officers say the rescue was a collaboration between the Sanford Police Department, the Seminole County Fire Department and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.
