Burger King launches ‘Real Meal' boxes featuring five different moods

Burger King released “Real Meal” boxes in select cities across the U.S. on Wednesday, featuring five meal boxes depending on your mood: Pissed Meal, Blue Meal, Salty Meal, YAAAS Meal or DGAF Meal.

The meal boxes, dubbed "Real Meals," can be ordered with the purchase of a Whopper meal, which includes their signature Whopper sandwich, with French fries and a drink.

“Burger King restaurants understands that no one is happy all the time,” the company said in a release. “That’s why they’re asking guests to order a Whopper meal based on however they might be feeling.”

May is also Mental Health Awareness Month, which was why the quick-service restaurant decided to launch the “Real Meal” boxes on May 1 “to help bring attention to this important cause.” Burger King partnered with Mental Health America on the campaign. The community-based non-profit is dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness.

“A natural extension of encouraging people to ‘be their way’ is encouraging them to ‘feel their way.’ With the pervasive nature of social media, there is so much pressure to appear happy and perfect,” the fast-food restaurant said. “With Real Meals, the BURGER KING brand celebrates being yourself and feeling however you want to feel.”

The “Pissed Meal” is based on an angry mood and the “Blue Meal” represents a sad mood. Order the “Salty Meal” if you're experiencing an upset or bitter feeling or the “YAAAS Meal” if you're in an excited mood. The “DGAF Meal,” meanwhile, seems perfect for those who can't be bothered.

Burger King also produced a film called “#FeelYourWay” on YouTube, which “takes an intimate and raw look into the reality of feeling your way that’s both empathetic and celebratory,” the company said.

The film commemorates the classic “Have It Your Way” track from the 1970s Burger King commercials by swapping out its chorus with “something a bit more revealing and authentic: ‘Feel Your Way,’” the company said.

The limited-edition boxes are available while supplies last at select restaurants in Austin, Seattle, Miami, Los Angeles and New York City.

The participating restaurant locations include: 3301 Fourth Avenue South, Seattle, Washington, 98134; 474 7th Avenue, New York, New York, 10018; 4918 West Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, California, 90027; Farm-to-Market 969, Austin, Texas, 78724; 1100-5th Street, Miami Beach, Florida, 33139.

It was not immediately clear when the campaign would end.
