Is anyone actually investigating Sloth World after sloth deaths?

Florida State Attorney Monique Worrell said Monday that the deaths of more than 30 sloths shipped to Florida to be part of the now-shuttered "Sloth World Orlando" attraction "is deeply troubling."

Amid the ongoing allegations into the owner of Sloth World, after over 50 sloths died in his care, the Sea Turtle Preservation society, which the Sloth World owner founded decades ago, are appalled by the sloths' deaths. STPS wants to see accountability for all of the animals involved.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said his office is assisting the Ninth Circuit with its "ongoing criminal investigation" into Sloth World Orlando. Uthmeier issued a letter in response to state Rep. Anna Eskamani's request for an investigation. "We will ensure accountability wherever the evidence requires."
