Iwuji Racing Towards NASCAR Cup Series

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - ARCA racer Jesse Iwuji will run in Saturday's race at Daytona International Speedway.

The series rookie went from playing college football at the Naval Academy, to active duty deployment in the middle east, to becoming a race car driver.

The son of Nigerian immigrant parents, Iwuji has sped through some of racing's lower ranks and hopes to someday make it all the way to NASCAR's Cup Series, where he'd like to race in the Daytona 500.
