Standoff ends with suspect's arrest
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A standoff between a suspect in an armed carjacking and a SWAT team with the Orange County Sheriff's Office has ended.
Just before 4 p.m. on Thursday, deputies were trying to contact Giovanni Medina, 22, when he barricaded himself inside a home near Columbia Street and S. Westmoreland Drive. After numerous attempts to call Medina out of the home, members of the SWAT team were called in to help.
