Sheriff: Dad arrested for DUI at elementary school play
OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. - A parent of an Oconee elementary school student has been arrested after police say he displayed "disturbing behavior" during a school play Monday afternoon.
Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry announced on Facebook that the man was at a school play held at North Oconee High School when an individual noticed the behavior.
Deputies were called and arrested the parent at Rocky Branch Elementary School for a DUI.
The man blew a .241 in the deputy's Intox machine, officials said.
The man, who was not named, was taken into custody without any incident. No children had been involved in the arrest.
