Missing Apopka man and woman found

UPDATE: A Silver Alert has been canceled for a man and woman who had been reported missing from Apopka.  Roy David Matthew and Ernestine Davis were found just after 8 p.m. after having disappeared for several hours. Both individuals have late stages of dementia and require medication.  

 

PREVIOUS SILVER ALERT:  Davis, 77, is described a black woman of medium build with short, curly hair and brown eyes.  She weighs approximately 172 pounds and is 5 feet, 5 inches tall.  She was last seen wearing a light-colored house coat with a flower print.

Matthew, 62, is described a slim, black man with short, black and grey hair and brown eyes. He weighs approximately 139 pounds and is 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He was last seen wearing grey sweat pants, a blue sweatshirt, glasses, and flip flops. 

Davis is not familiar with the Central Florida area. Two years ago, Matthew was found in the area of Bruton Blvd. in Orlando, attempting to locate his old barber shop which is now closed.  They were last known to be traveling in a 1979, 4-door Chevrolet Caprice Classic with black over grey and a red pin stripe down both the driver and passenger sides.  After market rims are on the rear tires and the front, passenger tire. The vehicle has tinted windows and a Florida tag BX1753.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of David and Matthew is asked to call the Apopka Police Department at 407-703-1757.
