Is Apple TV+ down? Thousands report issues with streaming platform

Thousands of users on Tuesday reported an outage with Apple TV+, according to Downdetector.

What we know:

The Apple System Status website also showed that Apple TV/+ began experiencing issues at about 3:48 p.m. 

"Users may be experiencing intermittent issues with this service," the status page said. Some users may also experience an inability to "access multiple services and stores or make purchases."

When attempting to stream an episode of a show, users were met with an "unable to play" message. 

By Tuesday evening, the reports of outages were down to a couple of hundred users. 

The Apple system status website stated the issue was resolved by 11:04 p.m. ET.

What we don't know:

Apple has not said what caused the glitch. 

What they're saying:

People also took to X to air out their grievances.

"Hopefully there will be a credit on my bill... Trying to relax, then crash!" one user said.

"I think Apple+ just crashed. Watching Ghosted with my dad and just died. Cant stream anything," another said.
