Gun, drugs stashed in "little pony" backpack
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A convicted felon is back behind bars after he was found with a loaded gun and drugs stashed away in a "Little Pony" backpack.
Orlando Police say on Thursday officers approached a vehicle parked in a disabled parking spot with no handicap placard displayed at Murchison Terrace Apartments.
As officers walked up to the vehicle, the passenger, Kyle Roundtree, got out of the vehicle and attempted to run away.
Officers were able to secure Roundtree and could smell the odor of cannabis.
The officers then went back to the vehicle and could smell cannabis coming from the vehicle, even noting .
When officer began to search the vehicle they located a "little pony" backpack on the floor of the passenger seat. A handgun and marijuana was located inside of the bag.
Kyle Roundtree was arrested on charges of possession of cannabis, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and resisting officer without violence.
