Florida Lottery: Miami woman wins $2 million prize in scratch-off success
ORLANDO, Fla. - A Miami woman scored big after winning millions in the Florida Lottery on Monday.

Virginia Alvarez, 69, claimed a $2 million prize after playing the 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game, according to the Florida Lottery.
The ticket was purchased from Government Discount, on Northwest 7th Street in Miami. As a result, the retailer also received a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the Scratch-Off ticket.
Alvarez decided to receive her reward as a one-time payment of $1,280,000.

The Florida Lottery says Scratch-Off games offer more than $243.4 million in cash prices, including more than 10 top prizes of $2 million.
