Wisconsin driver removes ‘road closed’ barrier; stuck in fresh concrete

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is reminding motorists to never ignore or move "Road Closed" barriers.

What we know:

The warning comes after a motorist in Milwaukee County got their vehicle stuck in fresh concrete on the National Avenue on-ramp along I-894 on Tuesday, May 12. WisDOT released highway camera video of the incident.

According to WisDOT, the motorist removed a "road closed" barrier, and proceeded to drive onto the freshly-poured roadway.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office released video from a high-speed chase that shows a wanted suspect's car flying over traffic.

"Crews place barricades and signs for your safety and theirs. Please – never remove or ignore "road closed" or any other types of barriers…or this might happen to you," said the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in a Facebook post.
