Dad arrested in school pickup line

Cypress Ridge Elementary is like most schools. The pick up line can be long and frustrating. But on a Friday afternoon, Clermont police officers say parent John Zinda let his frustrations get the best of him, landing him in jail.

"This was a safety issue. Our concern for safety in general is paramount and when you combine our children, our safety concerns escalate," says Sgt. Malcolm Draper.

Police say Zinda not only refused to move with the line, they say he wouldn't roll his window down.  Then, he refused to take his license out of his wallet, they added. The officer eventually said she had to drag Zinda out of his car.  With all the commotion, many parents had to drive around Zinda's car and dodge oncoming traffic.

Zinda is charged with disrupting a school function and resisting arrest without violence.
