Bomb squad investigates incident in Ormond Beach
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (FOX 35 Orlando) - A Daytona Beach man was arrested after a police said he discovered homemade explosive devices inside his truck during a traffic stop.

An Ormond Beach Police officer on Wednesday noticed a pickup truck parked in a vacant lot alopng U.S. Highway 1. The officer said he watched the truck for the occupant to return, and once he did, conducted an investigative stop.
The occupant was identified as Damon Lance Gause,Jr, 47, of Daytona Beach. Gause Jr. told the officer he was walking the vacant property, because he was thinking of buying the land, according to an arrest report.
Authorities said a K-9 sniff of the vehicle for narcotics was positive, which prompted a search of the vehicle. That search yielded a homemade explosive device on the front seat and two additional homemade explosive devices in the tool box, according to Ormond Beach police detectives.
Additional officers responded, to include Volusia County Sheriff’s Deputies and their Bomb Disposal Team. The Bomb Disposal Team rendered the devices safe.
Gause Jr. was arrested and charged with three felony counts of possession of a homemade explosive device.
