Beach conditions remain dangerous following woman's death

Lifeguards in Daytona Beach are advising beachgoers to swim at their own risk this weekend, after a woman died from getting caught caught in a rip current in Cocoa Beach on Saturday.

The red flag has been flown all weekend at Cocoa Beach because of the rip currents in the area. Three people, including the woman who died, were pulled from the waters on Saturday.

Ocean Rescue says that the woman who passed was not breathing when they pulled her from the water. Despite being given CPR by first responders, she died later at a hospital.

The woman's identity has yet to be released, as the news still needed to be broken to her family.

Rough surf has kept lifeguards busy all weekend in Cocoa Beach.
