Showers and storms will continue across Central Florida Sunday before drier air arrives midweek as Hurricane Erin tracks up the East Coast.

What will the weather look like tonight?

What To Expect:

Showers and storms will continue to fire up through the rest of the afternoon and into this evening.

Main threats: Heavy rain, gusty winds, vivid lightning and small hail possible in stronger storms.

Storms will fade away around 9PM. Temperatures will "cool" down into the upper 70s tonight.

What will the weather be like tomorrow?

What To Expect:

A rinse and repeat of what we had today with the storms and the heat.

Temperatures will heat up quick sizzling into the mid 90s through the first part of the day.

Showers and storms will fire up around 2-3PM and stick around through the early overnight hours.

Main threats: Heavy rain, gusty winds, vivid lightning and small hail possible in stronger storms.

What will the weather look like next week?

Looking Ahead:

Looking ahead into Tuesday and Wednesday, slightly lower chances of rain are on the way as drier air gets pushed into the region by Erin. As Erin follows (safely away from) up the east coast, drier air will be pushed in, cutting down the rain chances and humidity midweek.

Highs will be in the low 90s for most midweek.

Hurricane Erin forecast

What To Expect:

Hurricane Erin is still forecast to turn north and stay east of the US east coast (phew). Here in Florida, we will still feel the impacts. Be prepared for breezy conditions and life-threatening surf and rip currents.

Winds could gust up to 20-25 mph. Rough surf and large crashing waves will be likely by the end of the weekend and lasting through Tuesday. Swells could reach heights up to 9-10 feet.
