FOX 35 Care Force

FOX35 Care Force is recognizing the impressive work of a woman with a heart of gold as she leads a group of volunteers to reunite lost pets with their families.

Erin McCaulley, the director of victim services in Orange County, has dedicated more than 20 years to serving victims and families in our community.

Mary Wittmeyer was stunned walking into the Port Orange Police Department for what she thought would be a quick meeting. Instead, it was a birthday party for her in a room filled with local leaders, her fellow Volunteers in Policing Services (known as VIPS) and there was another surprise on her 100th birthday.

A Central Florida high school student is paying it forward by building a park for kids with a twist. Students at Hunter's Creek Elementary can now play in a new park. It doesn't have any slides or swings but instead features math.

FOX 35 is recognizing the work of a special kind of first responder – a victim advocate. Victim advocates like Linmary Green often meet people during the worst hours and days of their lives. They provide support and assistance through all sorts of trauma, like a child drowning, fatal fires, shootings and violence.
