SANFORD, Fla. (March 30, 2019) - Led by a second-half hat trick from forward Rachel Hill, Orlando Pride defeated the University of South Florida 6-0 on Saturday afternoon at Sylvan Lake Park. The Pride will play their final match of the preseason next week, hosting the Puerto Rico Sol at Orlando City Stadium at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 7.
Orlando opens the 2019 NWSL regular season on Sunday, April 14 when Portland Thorns FC comes to Orlando City Stadium for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
Orlando Pride Head Coach Marc Skinner:
“I thought it was good in spells. I want to be a perfectionist with this team, regardless of the result. I want to make sure we are performing and controlling as much of the game as possible and I thought we did that in good spells, more spells than we did against North Carolina. Obviously it’s a different level opposition but I thought [USF] did really well. They were pressing us hard. But, again, in my brain and for my personality, I want to have a little bit more control.”
