Former Orlando Apollos cornerback gets NFL deal

The Kansas City Chiefs became the first NFL team to sign a player from the Alliance of American Football (AAF) with the addition of cornerback Keith Reaser, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported.

Reaser played with the Apollos, who were leading the league standings when the AAF suspended operations.

The league announced that all of the AAF’s players are allowed to sign with NFL teams. Reaser, a fifth-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2014, previously spent time with the Chiefs in 2017-18 and appeared in 29 NFL games with the 49ers from 2015-17.

ESPN first reported the signing.
