ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A 44-year-old woman from Mount Dora is dead after a wrong-way crash in Orange County.
A 26-year-old Apopka female was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of S.R. 414 for an unknown reason at about 3:25 a.m., the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says. The front of her vehicle struck a motorcycle with two occupants on board. They were both thrown off the motorcycle.
The FHP reports that the female passenger of the motorcycle later died at the hospital. The 34-year-old male driver of the motorcycle is at the Orlando Regional Medical center with critical injuries. Charges are pending against the Apopka woman driving the wrong way.
