Westbound I-4 on-ramp at Amelia Street closing

ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 Orlando) - The westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) on-ramp from Amelia Street is closing for approximately 18 months beginning as soon as 10 p.m. on Monday, March 4.
The long-term closure of the on-ramp is necessary for the construction of the new elevated westbound I-4 travel lanes through downtown Orlando.
The detour route is to continue southbound on Hughey Avenue and to enter westbound I-4 from the on-ramp at South Street. View or download a map of the detour route for this ramp closure at: https://fdot.tips/amelia.
Modifications or extensions to these schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
The $2.3 billion I-4 Ultimate project is reconstructing 21 miles of interstate from west of Kirkman Road to east of State Road 434 in Longwood.
