Watch: Small plane flips over in South Carolina yard after pilot's maneuver

A small plane flipped over in a South Carolina yard Sunday as the pilot made a rough landing and tried to avoid further damage.

Home security footage from Vicki Coker shows the dramatic moment the plane crash-landed on her property in Pelzer, Anderson County, on Sunday morning, and ended up upside down on the road outside.

The pilot Harold Chapman miraculously walked away with only a few scratches and bruises, according to local reports.

What they're saying:

Chapman told WYFF he was trying to land the plane on a grassy strip but came in too fast. He said a bump in the road caused the plane to go airborne, so he decided to flip the plane in order to avoid further damage.
