Volusia grandmother accused of hiring hitman

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A New Smyrna Beach grandmother is accused of trying to hire someone to kill a man she doesn't like.

Police say they arrested Pamela Vanorsdale near her home on Brookline Avenue on Friday.  Police say Vanorsdale tried to hire a family member to kill Dylan Loveless. Police say they were contacted by that family member, and police listened in on a phone conversation, that police say implicated Vanorsdale.

Police aren't saying much about the reason for the murder for hire.

New Smyrna Beach police say they found a gun inside Vanorsdale's home that they believe she was going to give to the family member for the murder.  Vanorsdale has bonded out of the Volusia County Jail. No one answered when FOX 35 News knocked on the door.
