Volusia County introduces backpack ban at stadium events

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Volusia County is introducing a new rule aimed at keeping students safe.

Effective immediately, backpacks will not be allowed at stadium events, like Friday night football games. The policy affects both students and adults. 

Just last week, Orange and Seminole Counties rolled out a similar safety policy.
