Two Putnam County children die in fatal house fire
PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Putnam County Sheriff's Office detectives are assisting the state Fire Marshal's Office investigation into a fatal fire early on Sunday morning.
The sheriff's office says that firefighters, first responders, and deputies responded to a residence in Pomona Park on New York Lane. Two children were believed to still be in the residence upon arrival.
The home was said to be fully-involved and inaccessible. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire to gain entrance to the home.
Authorities say the bodies of two children were found inside.
The state Fire Marshal is leading the investigation.
