Collective Good wine sold at Target. (Frugalpac)

Target has launched its own sustainable line of wine called Collective Good and it will be packaged in recycled paper bottles.

The wine lineup includes a California Cabernet Sauvignon, a red blend from Spain, a Sauvignon Blanc from Chile, and a Pinot Grigio from Italy.

The wine will roll out to nearly 1,200 stores nationwide.

Frugal bottle with sustainable materials

Dig deeper:

The Collective Good line of wine is packaged in the frugal bottle, a paperboard alternative made with 94% recycled material, according to the product description on Target’s retail website.

Using this bottle "has a carbon footprint six times lower than a typical glass bottle and requires ¾ less water to produce," Target claimed.

What they're saying:

"By choosing Collective Good, you enjoy exceptional quality from our estate wineries while contributing to a sustainable future," Target said.

The bottle is made by Frugalpac, a company whose goal is to create low-carbon packaging innovations.
