Storms produce damage in Edgewater

A tropical wave that moved up Florida's Atlantic Coast on Tuesday produced heavy rain and wind gusts to parts of Central Florida.

During a heavy thunderstorm in the early morning hours, a 911 caller in Edgewater reported that a roof had "fallen off" a mobile home and that the yard and road were littered with debris.

No one was at the home on Las Palmas Drive, but authorities discovered that the roof was partially torn off of the home.

The system is expected to move up the coast and out of the region by early Wednesday.
