Having fun with the winter storm system in Pensacola

It was a rare and beautiful sight as snow blanketed parts of the Florida Panhandle on Tuesday.

Snow totals are still being reported across Florida, but as of Wednesday morning, it appears Pensacola has broken the snow record for the state.

The Panhandle city accumulated 9 inches of snow, breaking the previous record of 4 inches that was set in Milton.

Meanwhile, Tallahassee saw about 1 to 1.9 inches, mostly in the form of sleet.

  • Downtown Pensacola: 5

More snowfall ahead in Florida?

Florida is not expecting any more snow, as the wintry weather that caused it is moving out of the area, according to the FOX 35 Storm Team.

Locally, the rain in Central Florida is expected to end by mid-Wednesday morning.
