Skydiver injured in apparent hard landing
DELAND, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A skydiver was injured Wednesday morning after he hit his head on the plane while jumping out, authorities say. The skydiver was found shortly after 11:30 a.m. near Eidson Drive and DaVita Way near DeLand.
When police arrived, he told them he hit his head after jumping out of the plane and only remembered waking up on the ground. The 35-year-old man suffered minor injuries but was transported by helicopter to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach.
