Six-hour SWAT standoff ends with arrest of ex-felon

A six-hour SWAT standoff ended with a man in handcuffs.

Orange County deputies say they were called to Bordeaux Street off of Pine Hills Road around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. They received reports that a man was firing ito the neighborhood from inside his house.

Upon arrival, deputies say that the 49-year-old ex-felon refused to come out and told them that he wanted to kill himself and that he had a gun. After about six hours, they say he did end up coming out on his own.

During the course of the standoff, deputies discovered that the man had fired at another home. They are looking into that. Investigators are also scene to take photos of what happened inside the home.

We do not yet know the suspect's name, but we know that he is facing multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and firing into an occupied building.
