Seminole State names Dr. Georgia Lorenz president-elect

The Seminole State College Board of Trustees on Wednesday announced Dr. Georgia Lorenz as president-elect. 

The announcement follows constituent group meetings at Seminole State’s Sanford/Lake Mary Campus with faculty, staff, students, alumni and Foundation Board members, plus a community social event. Three finalists also were interviewed by the College’s Board of Trustees. The president-elect was voted upon and unanimously approved by the Board on April 11.

Dr. Lorenzis currently vice president of Academic Affairs at Santa Monica College in California and is set to become Seminole State’s third president to succeed Dr. E. Ann McGee on Aug. 1, 2018, who has successfully served the College for the last 22 years.
