Self-proclaimed serial killer to appear in court

A self-proclaimed serial killer, Scott Nelson, will appear in court on Tuesday afternoon.

The last time that Scott Nelson was in court he made new confessions and complained about the jail food and his defense team.

Scott Nelson is charged with the murder and knapping of 56-year-old Jennifer Fulford, a Winter Park nanny who went missing in September. Investigators say that Nelson broke into a Winter Park mansion, kidnapped Fulford, and drove her to a bank to withdraw money. She was later found in the woods. Detectives say she died from stab wounds and asphyxia.

Nelson was arrested days later in Jacksonville, where he confessed to everything. Since then, Nelson has written numerous letters to the court, the state of Florida, and members of the media. In one, he provided a confession to an armed robbery and eight other homicides.

Nelson could face the death penalty if found guilty. His pre-trial hearing will happen at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Orange County Courthouse.
