ST. CLOUD, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) is assisting the Osceola County Sheriff's Office with the search for a missing person at St. Cloud Lakefront Park.
There was a heavy law enforcement presence at the scene Sunday night. St. Could police officers and Osceola County sheriff's deputies were there.
The FWC said that seven people went out on a boat to enjoy a Sunday evening on the lake and decided to take a swim. One man jumped in the water, struggled and disappeared underwater. The people onboard tried to save him but couldn't and called 911.
FWC said they are conducting a search and rescue mission right now and will continue searching until the man is found. The Osceola Sheriff's Office is also using their helicopter and three boats equipped with radar to help with the search.
