Port Orange police investigating possible animal cruelty case
The Port Orange Police Department say they are actively investigating an animal cruelty case.
On September 22nd, Port Orange Animal Control officers were reportedly dispatched to the Ashton Point Apartments in Port Orange. A resident had advised that their family dog had died under suspicious circumstances.
On September 26th, Port Orange Animal Control were dispatched again to the Ashton Point Apartments because of a deceased cat located in a cluster of bushes. There was no visible trauma observed on the cat and the circumstance are also considered suspicious in nature.
This is an open investigation and no further information has been released at this time.
